Get ready for the Big Garden Birdwatch!
Join the world’s largest bird survey this January as the Big Garden Birdwatch returns! Every year, hundreds of thousands of nature lovers take part, helping to build a picture of how garden birds are faring within our rapidly changing landscapes.
The great news is you don’t need to be a bird expert to take part – everyone’s welcome! A good start is to get to know the birds in your patch before the Birdwatch. Then all you need do is work out how many you’ve got of each.
How to take part:
- Get your free guide and stock up on supplies.
- Spend an hour watching the birds in your patch, between 24 and 26 January, and record the birds that land.
- Tell the RSPB what you saw (even if that’s nothing at all)! You can submit your results online or by post.
