The Big Garden Birdwatch is back!
The RSPBs annual Big Garden Birdwatch is back this 26-28 January in the UKs largest collective garden wildlife survey to identify and collate important data on how our native bird species are faring.
This years 45th anniversary of the birdwatch is encouraging everyone to spend just one hour counting the birds that visit their gardens and then report the numbers either online or by post. It couldn’t be easier to identify they different types of birds with loads of useful resources available on the RSPB website to help.
Last year, across the UK, over half a million people joined in the Big Garden Birdwatch, counting over 9 million birds! The top most sighted bird in the country was the House Sparrow followed by the Blue tit and Starling.
