Overlooking the lily pond, the conservatory with its retractable roof is the ideal place to catch up with friends or meet up with family. Choose from a daily menu of home-cooked hot and cold dishes. From favourites such as roast dinners and jacket potatoes, all freshly prepared on the day. Choose from a selection of light snacks, sandwiches and salads including omelettes, pasties and pies.

We aim to source as many of our products as possible from local suppliers and all our sausages, free-range eggs, milk, cheese, cakes, flapjacks, cream and vegetables are from Westcountry suppliers.

Set yourself up for the day with a Bernaville Breakfast (served until 11am). Lunches are served between 12 and 2 o’clock, but a fantastic selection of snacks and cakes are available all day.

Starter – £4.95

• Chicken and Apricot Terrine
• Haddock, Cheese & Leek fishcakes served with a lemon mayonnaise
• Red Onion & Gruyere Tartlet (V)

Main course – £9.99

• Roast Devon Turkey Breast with all the trimmings
• Grilled Sea Bass fillets with a lemon butter sauce
• Tender Roasted Sirloin of Beef with Yorkshire pudding and a port wine jus
• Seared Duck Breast on a bed of thyme and pine nut stuffing with a ginger and plum sauce
• Parsnip, Cranberry and Chestnut Roast with a rich red wine gravy (V)

All served with seasonal vegetables

Dessert – £4.95

• Christmas Pudding with Brandy sauce
• Black Forest Roulade with double cream
• Spiced Winter Fruit Crumble with custard
• Manhattan Stack – Belgian Chocolate truffle with a caramel centre on chocolate sponge
